“Living here is like having an extended family. There is always, be it a tenant or staff member, someone who is there to care or help you when you need it. The interaction and camaraderie that goes on among the tenants very unusual and leaves no reason for anyone living alone to feel lonely. Aside from taking exceptional pride and care of the buildings, all the staff treat tenants in a very personal manner – an important part of a senior’s life. The volunteer opportunities give those who do so, a feeling of still being useful and part of something which you give up when you stop being in the working world. We live in a clean, well taken care of affordable environment with friendly people and a grand bonus of having a social coordinator that keeps us constantly busy and entertained. How lucky can I be.”

“I enjoy living here as most people are very nice. I enjoy all the programs that we have at the social center. Lunch being served five days a week helps me a lot. Getting my mail is so easy and a time to socialize as well. I like having the nurse come on Wednesdays and I get my blood pressure checked. The maintenance staff are always ready to help, all I have to do is call and they are right there.”

A wonderful staff of people who go out of their way to help us anyway they can. They work hard to keep the buildings and grounds beautiful. My self and my children are so happy for me to be here at a safe place to live without having to worry. I am so grateful and blessed to be living here at Schnurmann House and wouldn't want to live anywhere else.”

“Moving to Cleveland after being a New Yorker for most of my life was not an easy transition. It has now been several years and I am in awe of Schnurmann House. I cannot praise the management enough. The buildings are immaculate and superbly maintained, as well as the grounds. In spring and summer when I look out of my windows, I feel as if I'm living in a park. Many residents keep their patio and balcony filled with colorful plantings; such a delight. I must comment my neighbors for being so warm, friendly and caring. Living here has been a major highlight!"”
